We didn’t watch conference yet, this weekend we will. I’ll look out for him ^ ^ Where’s he going on his mission?? I wonder how they hosted him when he first got to the MTC and who’s in his district and stuff… crazy!

My daughter Hannah—Sister Hurt—and her fellow sister missionaries jumping for joy that they are almost ready to leave for Korea! They’ve studied hard at the Missionary Training Center for twelve weeks (the missionaries learning Asian languages stay at the MTC the longest). They leave for Korea in five days!
Godspeed, Sisters!

I’ll teach you some Korean:
No = 아니요, pronounced “Aneeyo”Yes = 네, pronounced “Nay” (SO. CONFUSING.)

A Korean lesson from my daughter, who is learning it in the MTC (Missionary Training Center). She moves to Korea in 10 days!

Cowboy Hats are Cool
Y’all, look what I got in NYC for Hannah. Yep, it’s Doctor Who in a cowboy hat, and he’s headed to her in the MTC for Christmas. I figure he’s small enough to ride along in Hannah’s book bag alongside her Books of Mormon when she gets to Korea.
Don’t tell anyone.

Oh the peace signs, btw. That’s just an Asian thing, I thought everybody knew. Like how Hawaiians do the shaka sign. Except Asians only do the peace sign in pics, lol.

I asked my daughter why she and all her fellow missionaries studying Korean in the Missionary Training Center were always flashing the peace sign in photos. Who knew?

My daughter’s Korean teacher Brother Davis (above) told her, “God loves the Korean people. He loves them so much. If Christ were on the Earth today, He would be doing what you’re doing. But He’s not. So He sends you in His stead.”
Then he shared D&C 90:11. “For it shall come to pass in that day, that every man shall hear the fullness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language, through those who are ordained unto this power [Me, bam!, she said] by the administration of the Comforter, shed forth upon them for the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

My missionary nametag! It says “Yaysoo Kareesuhdoh Hoo-gee-sohng-doh Kyo Whay,” (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

My daughter’s missionary nametag. She’ll be in the Missionary Training Center learning Korean until January 2nd when she will take Daejeon, South Korea by storm.
