TV Show Promo of the Day: J.J. Abrams is at the helm of Revolution, a new drama set in a post-apocalyptic world 15 years “after the lights went out” — or when a mysterious electromagnetic pulse threw humanity back into the 19th century, without cars, phones, or (gasp!) the Internet. Premieres this fall on NBC.

WATCHING IT

I’m holding my breath that it won’t be another Terra Nova.

This trailer for The Hunger Games came on TV while I was visiting my 84-year-old dad in his hospital room. He’s as excited for the movie as I am, so after the trailer, I pulled out my copy of this Entertainment Weekly and showed it to him. He asked, “CAN I HAVE IT?”

Eight days. Please don’t disappoint.

On the plane to Vegas, I watched “In Time,” a sci-fi flick in which the currency of the world has evolved from money into units of time, and totally forgot that Justin Timberlake was Justin Timberlake, he was so believable.

I have to admit, though, that when the girl grabbed his hand and said “Let’s dance,” I did automatically expect him to bust a move.

Iron Sky is an independent sci fi movie by sci fi fans for sci fi fans about Nazis from the Dark Side of the Moon. Watch the excellent teaser here: www.ironsky.net/site/#teaser
This is either going to be the best movie ever made about Nazis from the dark side of the moon or NOT. Either way, you still might want to buy the cool poster above or the even cooler patch below on their website to support the effort.

The Silent City, A Post Apocalyptic Web Series Based in New York City

Hmmm. I’m a sucker for a good post-apocalyptic tale. Now if it also features a dystopian society, that’ll be a one-two punch.

The world will be watching.
And in my corner of the world, we will be watching it on the largest screen in Texas.

So I’m checking Farscape out before I show it to my husband. It looks pretty cheesy, I know, and yes, those are MUPPETS, but it got such great reviews.
After all, I never thought I’d like Firefly, either. At least it didn’t have Muppets. I hope I can get past that.
